It has now been five years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a life-changing decision. On March 31, 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially stepped down from their royal duties and left the royal family. Since then, they have settled in Montecito, California, where they live with their two children, Archie and Lilibet. However, ever since their departure from "The Firm," they have constantly faced numerous rumors. According to The Express, royal expert Jennie Bond claims that the former actress is “anxious” due to all the speculation, especially those suggesting that her husband has been “unhappy” since leaving the UK. To silence the rumors, she has reportedly been sharing never-before-seen photos of her husband and children in which they appear happy. Her latest post celebrating her seven-year wedding anniversary with Prince Harry is said to be one of them.
Speaking to The Mirror, Jennie Bond addressed the rumors: “I think Meghan is a fighter,” she said. She continued: “She knows that some people, particularly in the UK, believe the rumors that Harry is unhappy, and she’s determined to show that they have a strong marriage and a happy family life.” The royal expert also added: “I hope it’s true, and there’s no reason not to believe her,” before highlighting Meghan Markle’s need to assert herself as an independent and ambitious woman. “I believe she’s also determined to show that she has a strong personality and that, from relatively modest beginnings, she became a successful actress, then an influencer and entrepreneur. I think she’s eager to be seen as a successful businesswoman in her own right, not just because she briefly lived in a palace and holds a royal title,” she explained.
Harry and Meghan leave California… but not for good!
On May 19, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary. To mark the occasion, they chose to enjoy a romantic getaway at a luxury spa in Arizona. However, as Hello! reported, their trip didn’t go unnoticed and reignited rumors that the couple might be planning to move. So, are they really considering leaving Montecito? According to Robert Jobson, author of the book Catherine: The Princess of Wales, that’s absolutely not the case. “Settled in Montecito with their children, Harry and Meghan seem to have found a balance between family life and creative projects. Their marriage remains strong, vibrant, and rooted in love,” he told reporters.
